After the attendance seen at the last Shop Riot, some could mistakenly think this one was going to be a little mellower, of course they were wrong!
The standard of skating was really high and with a real mix of styles, tech wizardry from the likes of Welsh Tommy and Steve King against the raw madness from the Scots and Alex Halford.
Focus became our first ever Scottish team to enter and did themselves proud, only just being beaten to first by Exist in what became a tech vs gnar battle. Welsh Tommy blew everyone away landing switch f/s tailslide 270 flip out on the ledge first try for Exist while, on the other hand, Kieran Menzies’ frontside aired the biggest gap in the park to end the day with style for Focus. We haven’t seen an epic battle like that since Rocky vs Apollo Creed!
Other skaters of note included Shaun Currie as one of the most stylish guys out there as well as Alex Halford whose dedication to the lein noseblunt up the extension earned him a lot of respect.
Thanks to everyone who came along and made it such a rad day!
